Starting in 2011 with the Donington Historic Festival and the International Historic Motoring Awards, we are now developing further events, such as Flywheel at Bicester Heritage, and are always happy to discuss new opportunities – whether these are new events launched in partnership with others, or you simply need services to support your own event.

Flywheel at Bicester Heritage

Donington Historic Festival

The inaugural Donington Historic Festival in 2011 was the first event promoted by Historic Promotions and – while we were optimistic that the event would be a success – we were totally blown away with the way it exceeded all our expectations.

There was a lot to live up to in 2012 but our second Festival turned out to be even better than the first. Now, and thanks to the ongoing support of the Donington Park circuit, we continue to work hard to further enhance the Donington Historic Festival’s reputation as one of the ‘must do’ events in the European historic motor racing calendar.

The 2017 event took place on Fri/Sat/Sun 28th/29th/30th April.

2018 dates will be announced shortly.

Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage

The Sunday Scramble takes place at Bicester Heritage three times a year and is mainly an excuse for thousands of classic vehicle enthusiasts to come together and enjoy a relaxed social gathering.  As well as enjoying the visiting classic cars, motorbikes and other vehicles, people can also glimpse inside the various specialist businesses now on site at Bicester Heritage, who open their doors throughout the event.

Historic Promotions organises the Sunday Scrambles in partnership with Bicester Heritage and the next event takes place on 1st October from 9am to 2pm.

International Historic Motoring Awards

We were thrilled when Dennis Publishing agreed to team up with us in 2011 to develop and launch the International Historic Motoring Awards, a prestigious annual awards event held in London, designed to recognise and celebrate the skills and achievements of the international historic motoring industry. The Awards quickly became recognised as the leading industry celebration and featured a world-class international panel of judges chaired by our very own Duncan Wiltshire.

The Awards event was hosted by Martin Brundle in 2011, Derek Bell in 2012, Henry Hope-Frost in 2013, Tiff Needell in 2014 and Steve Rider in 2015. Previously held at the wonderful St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, the 2016 event moved to The Guildhall for the first time.
